RACHEL LABRUCHERIE
Los Angeles, California, United States
Rachel has traveled the globe with her cameras, thirsty for extraordinary detail and a visually arresting image. " I attempt to capture everyday life. I photograph the obvious, yet the images are moments people are too busy to see. The car parked by its lonesome, the mannequin with emotion and even with my eclectic style, I strive to stay true to the obvious/obscured idea." Rachel's concentration is on environmental photography; usually installed in grids to emphasize contrast and the series juxtaposition and "Behind Glass" a series of mannequin portraits; mannequins from around the world are used as a backdrop to show pop culture and the ever changing trends.
